Our Royall Luck, Buford & Cofer is a biographical genealogy tracing many of the ancestors and descendants of John B. Luck, the owner and operator of the Black Horse Tavern near Hollins, Virginia, Captain Abraham Buford, a prominent citizen of Bedford County, Virginia, Captain William Edward Royall, a judge in Powhatan County, Virginia, Josias Cofer and David Crenshaw, both of Bedford County, Virginia, and others. These families are interrelated. For example, Luck’s youngest son married one of Buford’s daughters. A pattern such as this ties these families together, but it does not exhaust the many ways that these families are intertwined.
Your free gift for registering for updates includes the book’s Table of Contents (as of Memorial Day 2018), which itself represents years of historical research. Chapters that I haven’t started writing are one page each in that Table of Contents. Including those pages, the word processor said the genealogy stands at 551 +/- pages (as of that day). These pages are all 8.5 inches x 11 inches including pictures, single-spaced text, and an extensive index.
There is still time to contribute pictures and information for the book. If you would like to share such things for possible inclusion in the book or have any questions, please use the form on the CONTACT US page. Thanks in advance!
