The fact that there are three more plagues in Exodus 9:13-10:29 raises the obvious question, “Why did God send yet another three plagues?”  We have learned some lessons from the first six plagues, good lessons, but what else does God want to be so abundantly clear that He would send three more?  The passage itself anticipates this question, saying, “for by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.”  But instead God sent three more plagues.  At the very least this is because God wants it to be seen by all that He is greater than Pharaoh and the government of Egypt and greater than the pantheon of Egyptian gods and goddesses.  But more than this can be said.
