Isaiah 50:4-51:8 asks the question, “Who among you fears YHWH and obeys the voice of his servant?” The Suffering Servant that it speaks of is an expert in what to say to help the weary and an expert in listening to the Father. He hears and obeys and we are to listen to Him. Whatever darkness we walk through, Jesus went through a darker valley, He went through the valley of the shadow of death and even death itself. He is the expert on suffering that can give us a word to help for whatever darkness through which we might walk. We should not try to light the way ourselves, for Jesus is the way, it would be better to walk in the dark and trust God than to light our own way and walk into torment. May this message encourage you in Christ.
