Daniel 11:2-39 tells us more details about the time between Alexander the Great and the reign of Antiochus IV Epiphanes. An earlier chapter in Daniel had already prophesied these two figures that we today know from history. An important detail about the time between these two figures is to know that two of the four kingdoms into which the Greek empire was organized fought over the land of Israel. This passage shows us the land going back and forth between these two kingdoms. The text is not clear enough that one could predict the future with it in hand, but it is clear enough that looking back one can see all of the details fit.
Given the opening illustration, I thought I would share this picture (it is 1 of 2 and to my knowledge posted nowhere else on the web).
