Isaiah 27 opens with the vision of the Lord slaying the sea-monster Leviathan, the sea-serpent Satan, the dragon the devil.  The first exodus had been a defeat of the dragon Rahab.  This mythical creature was the ‘monsterification’ of Egypt.  The Lord is a dragon-slayer.  The new exodus was then the slaying of the dragon Leviathan — it was when Jesus gave him a fatal blow to the head.  Jesus did this to Satan with His death and resurrection, which is followed by a new exodus of people from both ends of the earth coming up the holy mountain to worship in the heaven of heavens in Spirit and truth.  All of this is to remind us that there is more going on than what we can see with our eyes.  There is an invisible dimension to all of this.  When we are in conflict with one another or being persecuted by a government we are not to take it personally — the struggle is in the heavenly places and being waged in our hearts.  What are the dragons in your life?  Jesus is the dragon-slayer.
