Exodus 4:18-31 is easily the most challenging passage of the entire book. It makes an awful movie script because it does not tell us everything we might want to know. Thus it raises lots of questions that we will only find out answers when we go to be with Jesus. And there are many more things in each passage as I preach through Exodus that I could point out than I have been doing each Sunday. I can only give you a taste with a few of the ways that each passage points to later events in Exodus as well as to Jesus and maybe even get to mention how it points back to Genesis. But there is so much more that can be said about each passage as well as how it points to the rest of Scripture and that is especially true for the one we have before us today. Nevertheless, just because there is more that can be said and so much that cannot be said (because we don’t know) I want you not to miss the most important things so that you do not miss the main point God has for you in these verses. And so listen to this passage and this message laying aside the questions that might be raised for you and just listen to God’s message for you.
