Deuteronomy 8 highlights a theme found throughout that book. We need no reminders to flee to God when things are not going well or when there is a crisis like a 9/11 or a massive famine. But Scripture does remind us that when we get full we are to remember God even then. This thanksgiving, after we are full, we should stop and reflect on what we have to be thankful for and then give thanks to God from whom all blessings flow.
