How is your walk with Jesus on your road to God’s glory? Back in John 13 Jesus had told Peter, “Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow afterward” (John 13:36). And Peter replied, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” And Jesus said, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.” And we know what happened. Now we see the threefold restoration of Peter and then Jesus tells Peter the way that Peter will lay down his life for the glory of God. Whether you have just decided to get back on your path and are listening for Jesus to welcome you back or you think you are coming up at the end of your road and are concentrating on how you will glorify God in the end or you are somewhere in between — John 21:15-25 has some encouraging words for you.
